His family members might have produced films before, including Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg, but Salman got enterprising by investing in Yatra.com – a travel website he endorses. The group that owns Yatra – Network18 – already had a happy relationship with Salman thanks to his brand ambassadorship of Viacom18's HISTORY channel and also as host of Bigg Boss on Colors. Salman just had to take this smooth business relationship to the next level, so much so that he never went back to hosting his successful show 10 Ka Dum that launched him on TV, for rival channel Sony. Salman also launched the clothing line of his Being Human Foundation and got endorsements such as BlackBerry PlayBook and Thums Up (for the second time).

Once again, Hrithik proves he is more than a mortal, on the latest cover of a glossy

Star cast: Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Juhi Chwla, Salman Khan, Tanuja, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Jeetu Verma, Rajesh Vivek, Puneet Issar, Arjan Bajwa and Mukesh Tiwari

Director: Ashwani Dhir

Producer: Ajay Devgn (Ajay Devgn Ffilms), N R Pachisia, Pravin Talreja (YRV Infra & Media Pvt. Ltd.), Eros International and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures
Music: Himesh Reshamiya
Genre: Comedy
Censor Details: U/A (Hindi)

Synopsis: Jassi (Ajay Devgn) works for his friend (Salman) and his uncle in London. He receives a notification from his hometown in Punjab that states that he is about to inherit a piece of land.
Soon enough, Billoo (Sanjay Dutt) and his nephews (Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh) realize that Ajay is the son of the killer and even want to kill Ajay, but there's a hitch. Ajay has entered their mansion as a guest (Sonakshi’s friend) and as per the tradition; all guests are to be treated as God.

Script Analysis: The story written by Ashwani Dhir and his team is a remake of a South Indian film and the difference here is that the story is set in the backdrop of Punjab. Coming to the point, the story is strictly average. Even if we look at it as a ‘Complete No-Brainer’, still it lacks the fun, which one had while watching a Golmaal or a Dabangg.
Screenplay is good as the film is short but a few unwanted dream sequences (songs, 3 in number) could have been reduced to 1-2. The dialogues are good and provide some entertainment to the viewers.

Direction and Music: Speaking about Direction, Ashwani Dhir is directing his 3rd film and his first big film. His skills have improved big time from the disastrous One Two Three and Not so bad Atithi…Tum Kab Jaoge. He could have made a much better film, had the storyline been better.
Talking about the music, it is already a Super hit. Composer Himesh Reshamiya has done a really fine job in the music department. Title Track, Raja Rani, Po Po and Bichdann are my picks from the album.

Star Performances: Ajay Devgn tries hard to be a funny Sardar but unfortunately he hasn’t performed to the potential that he possesses as an actor. Sonakshi Sinha wasn’t convincing at all. A few hits kick started her career but now she might get type casted in such Hero-Oriented films.
Sanjay Dutt did a convincing job as Billu and was a treat. Juhi Chawla also did a fine job but such characters come natural to her, having done a lot of Punjabi films. Mukul Dev was the surprise package and was a treat again to watch after a few convincing acts as the Punjabi Gunda.

Final Say: Son of Sardaar promises entertainment but only to a limited extent. First half is way better and second half is a big disappointment

Son of Sardaar First Day Collection Update Son of Sardaar has faced the storm called Jab Tak Hai Jaan this Diwali at the box office and now making its present felt. SOS started with a bang having an occupancy of 70-80% on average for Morning shows. Noon shows occupancy remained same as Morning. There is literally no drop. Many shows reported Sold Out or near about Housefull across all I ndia . Coming to Evening shows, it has shown substantial drop of 30-40% on average, specially in Northern belts. Drop is pretty normal as Puja is to be held in evening. Still an occupancy of 50%+ is expected from SOS for later half of the day. SOS First day Collection will be good despite less screen space than JTHJ. Had it released solo it would have been a big gainer in collections as SOS word of mouth is positive. SOS is going to be affected bigger by clashing with JTHJ for the first dayat least. Average occupancy for SOS should be in the range of 60-65% for the whole day. Good.
