What is the common link between “Talaash” and “Dabangg 2”? It is none other than Kareena Kapoor. She is one of the lead actresses of the film “Talaash” and has also featured in the item number for “Dabangg 2” which has been titled “Fevicol se”.
The item song has been shot recently and is being touted as the best in class and on the other hand, the film ”Talaash” is one of the most-awaited films of this year.  Recently she was in a fix on the day of the premiere of her film.

The film’s premiere was star-studded. It had the cast and crew of the film usher in guests who came to watch the film. However, Kareena Kapoor was seen missing from the scene, though she had a pivotal role in the film, leaving the responsibility on Aamir and Rani. Earlier on as well she was missing from the first promotion of this film, albeit for a valid reason- her marriage, and now this.
The reason had been a certain Salman Khan. It has been reported that on the same day Kareena was to be shot with Salman to showcase the item number of “Dabangg 2”, on the sets of “Bigg Boss” season 6.
A source close to the actress revealed, “It’s like Kareena chose Salman’s film over her own. She had promised Sallu that she would be present for his show. She kept her promise.”
Another source claimed “Kareena had been busy promoting the film over the last couple of days in Delhi because of which she landed up with fever and a relapse of her throat infection. But to keep her promise, she decided to skip the premiere and go home and rest for some time before leaving for Lonavala early morning.”
She made an appearance on the reality show alongside host Salman Khan and looked stunning in a bronze coloured embellished gown. The song had been much-awaited and finally it was released. The song has been choreographed by choreographer-turned-producer Farah Khan.
First, it had been Arbaaz Khan who announced the impending release of “Dabangg 2” on the sets of the same reality show. This time around Arbaaz Khan has directed the sequel of the film “Dabangg” which had been directed by Abhinav Kashyap.
Salman cleverly used the platform of his own show to promote his film thus benefiting his show and the film, and in turn benefiting himself.

Aamir Khan’s wife and director Kiran Rao feels Talaash has something for everyone

Filmmaker Kiran Rao is really happy with her husband Aamir Khan‘s latest film Talaash, saying it offers something for everyone. “Since I heard the script and we have been watching the shooting and now that we have watched the final cut of the film, we liked it. It is my kind of film and I really liked it,” the 39-year-old said on Thursday at the movie’s premiere in Mumbai.

She hopes that the audience also likes it as much as she did. “We just hope that people also like it. The story is such that everyone will get something in it. It is emotional also, so it should also touch the audiences and will lead them to think as well,” she said.

Aamir and Kiran got married in 2005.

Asked to describe Aamir in two words, she said: “A good human being and very talented at the same time.”

Directed by Reema Kagti, Talaash is a thriller and also stars Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It hit theatres Friday.

She is considered a misfit to work opposite most of the younger crop of male actors like Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor due to her well ’rounded’ shape. Sona also had to opt out of a lucrative endorsement deal that required her to shed a few pounds. Is Sinha’s USP – her generously curvaceous Indian frame – slowly making her lose out on meaty offers?
Until recently, Sonakshi Sinha was considered the ideal (read generous) Indian beauty. After receiving much flak from the size conscious media and society at large, the Dabangg actor showed that size-zero is not the only option one has to break into Bollywood. In fact, after the success of her debut film, Sonakshi was hailed as an actor who brought along a breath of fresh air with her big curves and chubby face.

Amidst the constant clamor about the nationwide obsession for a size zero figure, Sonakshi stood out as the girl who was comfortable in her own pounds..err in her own skin. She definitely worked hard to become a diva. After all from being an elephantine 100 plus kg gunny bag, she has emerged as the poster girl of hot curvaceous beauty that men secretly desire.

Her newer and slimmer identity bagged Sona her subsequent films like Rowdy Rathore, Joker, Son Of Sardaar and now Dabangg 2 with A-list stars like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan. Why then should the Sinha babe worry about her weight when everything is working in her favour? The answer to that one is not so difficult to figure out.

On one hand, Sona must be proud to have worked with A-list megastars, but on the other hand she also needs to pay attention to the flip-side of this ‘weighty’ issue. Recently, she walked out of a lucrative endorsement deal that needed her to lose the excess flab. Unfortunately for Sona, Deepika Padukone had to be summoned to endorse the brand. We also hear that the 24-year-old babe goes well with senior actors, who are on the verge of touching their 50s and should ideally play the role of her uncle, but young eye-candies and talents who would make it big in the future like Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor hesitate to pair up with her.

In this ‘heavy’ crisis, Sonakshi must really be looking forward to Lootera where she will be seen with an equally young Ranveer Singh. If that project works on the big screen, it could just turn out to be a trend changer; in fact a trend setter for the Sinha gal!

The Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl star has decided to go behind the camera

Ranveer Singh can’t ask for more. The dashing dude got a rock-solid start with his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat, and then sustained the overwhelming success with his second film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Clearly, the young lad is on a roll. Barely two films old and already a star, Ranveer is now looking forward to his next projects Ram Leela and Lootera. But here’s an interesting news that reveals Ranveer’s mega ambition. The 27-year-old is aspiring to go behind the camera. “Hopefully, I will direct a film some day and I will pay tribute to some of my idols who have been actor-directors,” confessed Ranveer who was seen at the premiere of Talaash last night.

The good-looking actor was seen sporting a moustache and long hair. This new look is for his next film Ram Leela in which Ranveer will be seen playing the lead role opposite Deepika Padukone, after which he will seen with Sonakshi Sinha in Lootera. It seems we have to wait longer to see him don the director’s hat.

The iconic quiz show that changed the face of modern non-fiction shows on television completes a historic 500 episodes
KBC was such a rage when it release that it almost brought back the Ramayana type hysteria, when people would flock in hordes to the television screens to watch the soap, bringing the entire city to a standstill.

The quiz show yesterday completed 500 episodes, a complete record of sorts for a non-fictional show. An estatic Amitabh Bachchan, whose career the show was responsible for reviving, took to Twitter and said, “Oh ! And amidst all the rush I forgot to mention .. at last evenings KBC shoot, they came up and told me it was my 500th episode !!! Also, “500 th episode of KBC for me !! Gosh !! .. this is incredible ! Never realised it had been so long … thank you all for the love !!”

And it’s fitting that KBC would complete the record with Senior Bachchan as the host because he is synonymous with the show, and his dialogues have almost entered the lexicon of audiences in India and abroad. Well, we wish the show luck, and hope that it entertain and enlights audiences for many more seasons to come!

Jo’s period drama is likely to bring B-town’s glam cousins together on the big screen

Ever since the filmmaker announced directing a period drama next, after his youth rom-com Student Of The Year, there have been all kinds of stories doing the rounds regarding the film’s starcast. Firstly, it was news of Ranbir Kapoor sharing screen space with Shahrukh Khan; later rumours suggested that Ranbir has been finalized as the lead, while Karan’s close friend SRK not star in the film at all. Uff!!

Now, if the latest goss is to be believed, the Dharma Productions’ head honcho has pulled off a casting coup of sorts. While SRK might not star in his close buddy’s film, Karan is considering Saif Ali Khan – not in place of SRK, sillies! In all probability, the Chote Nawab will play a very significant cameo, and might get to romance his real life begum Kareena Kapoor. While Ranbir’s leading lady has not been finalised yet, our alert birdie feels that there are chances of Ranbir and Kareena teaming up as brother and sister in the film. How smart, Karan! Remember how Zoya Akhtar too tried to get Ranbir and Kareena play siblings for her upcoming movie a few months ago?

Will the real life brother-sister duo be accepted in a similar role in reel-life too? Well, if you have master of drama and emotions Karan Johar, anything is possible. Don’t you think so,

The dashing actor will talk his heart out to the Pakistani media about his next production, which also stars Asin, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya

With every film, Akshay Kumar seems to be learning some new marketing tricks. For his next home production Khiladi 786, which also stars Asin Thottumkal, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya, the actor will be interacting with members of the Paksitani media. Reason? The number 786 is considered holy by the Muslims.

A member of the actor’s marketing team explains. “We’ve organised a live video press conference where Akshay will interact with the Pakistan media from Mumbai. Since he is busy shooting for back-to-back films, he was unable to travel to Pakistan. Akshay feels that if he can help make the situation better between the two warring countries in any way, he will be game for it.” Amen!
