Dabangg 2 getting hotter and hotter.

Now Katrina Kaif wants to do an Item Number in Dabangg 2

While the shooting of Dabangg 2 is in full progress currently, Katrina Kaif, we hear, doesn't mind even a walk-on role in the sequel. But it's more another 'item number' that she is egging for.

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan spent a considerable time together shooting for Ek Tha Tiger, recently, and Katrina, it is being said, has managed to communicate to Salman her eagerness to be part of the Dabangg sequel.

Well, we don't know in what capacity the actress will be seen in this one, but seen she will be, if sources are to be believed. So much for a special appearance for Salman's special girl.

Till now we heard that Dabangg 2 will have two item songs. One featuring Kareena Kapoor and the other featuring Salman Khan himself. Wonder to see Katrina Kaif in an item song and thus Dabangg 2 will have 3 item songs which will make Dabangg more hotter.

MUMBAI: Arbaaz Khan who started shooting the sequel to Dabangg earlier this month, is leaving no stones turned to ensure that the Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap’s presence is not missed in the sequel.

While Arbaaz takes the director’s chair effortlessly, and we hear he’s perfectly in control of every department, Salman Khan is almost a co-director on location. Apparently Sonakshi and the rest of the cast looks towards both Arbaaz and Salman for approval after every shot.
“Only when both Arbaaz and Salman approve is the shot approved,” says a source.

And now we hear Salman’s old friends the director duo of Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao is being roped in to direct the songs of Dabangg 2. Sapru and Rao who are currently busy directing their feature film I Love New York with Sunny Deol and Kangna Ranaut, have left behind their schedule and rushed to shoot the first song of Dabangg 2 on 27 March.

Sapru and Rao go back a long way with Salman. Salman’s protégées,the duo directed Lucky: No Time For Love with Salman in the lead. The film is best remembered for the haunting Lata Mangeshkar-Adnan Sami duet Ek ajnabee sa ehsaas dil ko sataaye.

The romantic song that Vinay and Radhika will shoot with Salman and Sonakshi on March 27 has been given the reference from the lilting Lata-Adnan song from Lucky.

When contacted Vinay Sapru confirms the duo’s contribution to Dabangg 2. “Yes, Radhikaji and I are shooting some songs for Dabangg 2. The first one next week. We’ve always considered Salman an architect of our careers. And if he asks us to something we don’t think twice.”

The last time one heard of a special duo being roped in to shoot songs was for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 1942: A love Story where Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan had directed the songs.
Close on the heels of reports about photographer Hanumantrao Patil allegedly barging in on the sets and disrupting a Salman Khan shoot at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, the man in question states that the claims were based on false facts.

In fact, the members of Cine Still Photographers' Association (CSPA) are upset with the words a leading daily has used to describe Patil -- 'notorious', 'self-styled king' and 'mafia lord'. Kundan Goswami, treasurer of CSPA, says, "What has Patil done to deserve the title 'mafia lord'? He is neither a gangster nor a murderer."

Hanumantrao Patil incidentally has worked on several Salman Khan films. According to him, Salman is said to be very fond of him and even refers to him as 'maharaj'. "Salman bhai is very supportive of the technicians and workers in the industry. He cares about us and I am confident that he will not say anything against us," says Patil.

Explaining what exactly took place on the said day, Patil says, "I went for the inspection on behalf of CSPA to check if the photographer hired for the shoot is a member of our association. When I reached there, the shooting hadn't begun yet and Salman bhai was not present on the set. I found out that the photographer is from Dubai and was not a member of our association. So I spoke to the producer and he agreed to pay the membership amount for the photographer and a fine. I even issued a receipt for the same. Everything happened peacefully and I left. Hence, there is no question of me stopping the shoot."

Patil has been a still photographer in the industry for over 40 years and is a founder member of CSPA. Currently he is the elected president of CSPA as well as the head of the vigilance committee. He is also a member of the vigilance group of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

Patil goes on to add, "FWICE stops shoots only if they have been going on for more than 12 hours. And this is done just to safeguard the rights of technicians and worker in the industry who are exploited and over worked."

He says, "On several occasions, Dinesh Chaturvedi and Prem Singh Thakur (who are also a part of FWICE) have requested me to raid film sets at one and two in the night. I am shocked that they have been quoted talking against me."
