Zanjeer is an upcoming Indian action film produced by Amit Mehra, simultaneously shot into Hindi and Telugu. It is a remake of the Hindi 1973 film of the same name and will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Director Apoorva Lakhia has signed up Telugu Mega Star Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra for the lead roles. Prakash Raj has been roped in to play the character of Teja. There were reports that Sonu Sood was being considered for the role of Sher Khan. Finally, it's Arjun Rampal who has bagged the coveted role. Bindu's iconic 'Mona Darling' act is now being taken over by Mahi Gill.Big B Amitabh Bachchan plays a guest role in this film.
