Akshay Kumar back as ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ host

The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is back as action-adventure show Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi host. Channel Colors have decided to bring back the original host Akshay Kumar on the board instead of signing someone else.

"The main problem was Mr.Akshay Kumar's dates. He is busy with his films all of 2013. Initially, we thought we would go ahead with someone else. But the general opinion is, no one can take Akshay's place in 'Fear Factor'. So we're willing to wait until he gets free in 2014," said a channel source.

The channel official had a long discussion with the stunt hero regarding his dates and unable to accommodate dates for next year, Akshay insisted the channel to take someone else but the channel is not ready to take anyone and ready to wait for him.

However, the officials had no problems in waiting for him."Our bandwidth for reality shows is filled for the next one year. We had two options: do we go ahead with 'Fear Factor' without Akshay in 2013? Or do we wait for him to do the show in 2014? We decided on the latter option," said the source.

When Akshay failed to accommodate date for the show, Priyanka Chopra hosted the second season. It was also rumored that Ajay Devgn might replace Akshay as the ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ host but it was later denied.

2012 has been an eventful year for Akki in both personal and professional front. He has four releases this year and all of have done exceptionally well at the box-office. The actor is now looking forward to his Today release ‘Khiladi 786.
