Kajol was not invited to the Jab Tak Hai Jaan premiere

The grapevine was abuzz with gossip about Mrs Devgn making a back-door entry at the premiere of Yash Chopra’s last movie. But a miffed hubby Ajay Devgn now reveals that the rumours are just not true

Jab Tak Hai Jaan’s red-carpet premiere was supposed to be a tribute of sorts to the late Yash Chopra. And to think that Kajol, who was one of the reigning heroines of the Yash Raj Films banner, would be absent from the do was heart-breaking, even unthinkable. But word came in that Kajol had made a back-door entry, duly escorted by Aditya Chopra, while the other heroines sashayed down the red-carpet in their glittering gowns. But guess what, it was nothing but the result of an optimistic feathered friend’s overactive imagination.

Referring to the unfortunate episode, Ajay Devgn said, “Talking about Kajol not attending Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) premiere, I just have to say that it’s not her fault, she wasn’t invited.” Tch tch! No wonder the shutterbugs failed to get any pictures of this lovely lady attending the tribute. Sigh!

But isn’t it sad that dear Kajol is bearing the brunt of this war between the makers of Son Of Sardaar (SOS) and JTHJ to the extent of scarring her fond relationship with the YRF banner? We think it is. We hope she finds solace in the awesome box office collection her husband’s movie has managed to garner. After all, that’s what family is all about. Right, Kajol?
