Here’s something directors and actors of this young superstar should read- Ranbir Kapoor quoted in an upcoming television show that he was ‘not a big fan of superhero films’ and neither does he ‘ have the burning desire of being a superhero.’

Given the rise of super-hero films in recent cinema, like Krrish and Ra.One, one would expect Ranbir to want to try his hand at the genre as well. But he adds to his statement, “I believe that to make a good superhero film you need to have a good story rather than spend crores to make it.” Ranbir holds his contemporaries and co-actors in the industry in high esteem, as he thinks that they are superheroes in their own right. “I love films of Ajay (Devgn), Salman (Khan) and Sanjay (Dutt), I loved Aamir (Khan) in Ghajini,” says the heartthrob.

But when asked which his favourite superhero is- he answers, “My favourite superhero character is Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg.”

Film audiences love seeing their actors in uniform. Playing the good guy, naturally. Aamir and Salman, who have worked toge ther in just one film, have yet again proved why they are best buddies.


As Aamir is gearing up for the telecast of his debut TV show, producers of rival channels have been lining up at Salman’s doorstep to offer him a show so that they could deviate TRP’s from the perfectionist star’s show.


But Salman chose not to entertain their request and declined all plump offers for the sake of Aamir.


Talking to DNA, a source said, “On the small screen, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Salman have been reigning favourites. And the TRPs of their shows are proof of their popularity on TV. Hence many channel heads apparently approached the star to be part of their shows, so they could grab eyeballs at the same time. However, being Aamir’s buddy, Salman apparently refused the big bucks offered by the shows for the sake of his friend.” 


“Aamir is a perfectionist, and the way his TV debut is being planned, it is sure to make many production houses and channels re-shuffle their programming line-up. As Aamir’s show is to air on Sunday mornings and simulcast across eight channels and languages, the reach will automatically widen, therefore putting pressure on others. Though the show is yet to be aired and is not in the regular prime time slots, industry experts feel that the thinking man’s actor can really ruffle the TRP game. And now, with one of TV’s favourite hosts backing him, it seems like the other stars surely will have some competition, not just in films, but on the small screen too,” an insider added.

Though Salman Khan was very keen on an Eid release for the sequel to Dabangg. The problem is, another Salman film Ek Tha Tiger has already been scheduled for Eid. So while another lucrative window, the Christmas weekend has selected for the release of Dabangg 2.

Says a source, “Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2 are completely different films.However Salman feels his fans cannot take both the films although they are hugely contrasting in plot,tone and entertainment value.’

Arbaaz Khan who directs Dabangg 2 sees no purpose in crowding the Eid weekend with two Salman releases.

Says Arbaaz, “We can’t possibly release it this Eid. There’s no sense in two Salman starrers on the same Friday.So the only option is to wait till next Eid in 2013. And that would be really late. So I’m going with the Christmas weekend for Dabangg 2 , December 21. That is a terrific holiday weekend too.”

About Salman insisting on Eid for Dabangg 2 Arbaaz protests, “I don’t think there should be any hard and fast rules about specific windows for specific stars. Christmas weekend is as good as the Eid weekend. I’m happy with it.”

All of Salman’s recent blockbusters Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard have been Eid releases.

Actor Salman Khan Doesn't agree with his Dad over an yestyears Blockbuster movie remake issue. Earlier Salman Khan's dad Writer Salim Khan who is against the idea of remake of the superhit film Zanjeer co-written by him,along with Javed Akhtar years back.But Salim son Salman Khan had other opinon about Zanjeer remake.

During an press meet for travel site,Actor Salman spoken about Zanjeer remake issue by saying,"Of course there should be a remake of Zanjeer. Zanjeer was a superb and really good film."

Salman didn't miss the opportunity to make a comment on Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don since his father had co-written the script of the original. Taking the example of Don, he said, "Don was remade twice. First was remake and the second was a sequel of a remake."

Zanjeer remake is being produced by Prakash Mehra's son Amit Mehra. It will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja will make his Bollywood debut with this film.Earlier Salim and Javed had declared war againts flimmaker Amit Mehra and demanding to stop working on Zanjeer remake,but now with Salman Khan support Mehra will try to talk with writers and solve the issue.

Dabangg Salman Khan has always been in the News when it comes to the Relationship's he shares with the Industry's Big Names whether be it Shahrukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan.

Recently at Ambani's Party for Sachin's 100 Centuries where all the Big names where present from Aamir Khan to Salman Khan , Aishwariya rai to Abhishekh bachchan everyone made their presence except Shahrukh Khan.

Salman took the hold and indirectly targetted Shahrukh by Saying '"Sachin ke record todna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hai...aur ye Don nahin main bol raha hoon. Aur bol bhi sakta hoon kyonki mera father (Salim Khan) ne likhi hai ye picture. Rights toh unhi ke paas ahin. Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) ne ki thi ye picture."

Reacting to this, Shah Rukh told reporters on Monday: "I get numb by the kind of stories I keep hearing about myself. I try not to take them seriously or comment about them.

Ek Tha Tiger is Salman Khan's Eid Release of 2012, directed by Kabir Khan.

But, There is a confusion of release dates, The release date has not been confirmed officially yet.



This year Eid falls on 19th August, which is Sunday. So there is very less chances that it will release on Sunday. But Sunday business of Ek Tha Tiger will surely be record breaking.

Ek Tha Tiger may release on 17th August, Friday and then it may earn around 15 Cr to 20 Cr in India as it is not a Holiday.

But if Ek Tha Tiger releases on 15th August,Wednesday which is Independence Day Holiday then it will surely break many records and it may surpass Agneepath's Opening Day record of 23 Cr.

While Salman Khan has been in the news for Performing in the Opening ceremony of Ipl , Insiders close to Shahrukh Khan Believe that Shahrukh has decided to Skip the event.Big Names Such as Amitabh Bachchan , Salman Khan , Kareena Kapoor,Priyanka Chopra , Kat berry are perfoming at the event and as per sources , Salman has been Paid the Highest amount for his presence at the Event.

Dabangg 2 getting hotter and hotter.

Now Katrina Kaif wants to do an Item Number in Dabangg 2

While the shooting of Dabangg 2 is in full progress currently, Katrina Kaif, we hear, doesn't mind even a walk-on role in the sequel. But it's more another 'item number' that she is egging for.


Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan spent a considerable time together shooting for Ek Tha Tiger, recently, and Katrina, it is being said, has managed to communicate to Salman her eagerness to be part of the Dabangg sequel.


Well, we don't know in what capacity the actress will be seen in this one, but seen she will be, if sources are to be believed. So much for a special appearance for Salman's special girl.


Till now we heard that Dabangg 2 will have two item songs. One featuring Kareena Kapoor and the other featuring Salman Khan himself. Wonder to see Katrina Kaif in an item song and thus Dabangg 2 will have 3 item songs which will make Dabangg more hotter.
